Does Your Company NEED a Website?
The question should be "Are you planning on being in business in the future?"
Keep in mind that for the past 10 years, almost everyone graduating high school has grown up with computers and the Internet, with 85% of Americans usng the Internet on a regular basis, and the fastest growing user base being 50 to 71 years old.
I have spoken with a large number of Internet users about how they are using the Internet, and the search engines. What stood out the most was that when they were searching for a company or service, if they did not have a website or if the site was poorly designed, searchers were most likely not going to do business with them.
Another point when using the search engines: If the company did not come up on the 1st or 2nd pages of search results, very few people went to the 3rd page and almost none went to the 4th. Also, when viewing the displayed search results, it seems most everyone skipped past the directories and went straight for the companies' own websites.
A well designed professional looking website says "We care about our customers and buisness." |
